Gerald Ralph Fuller Jr.

Gerald Ralph Fuller, Jr. (Gerry), age 82, lately of Roseville, California, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025. 

Gerry was born February 3, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gerald and Glenda Richardson Fuller. He grew up in Arizona, Texas, and Arkansas graduating from Little Rock Central then Brigham Young University.  He served a two year mission in Tasmania and Australia then joined the navy but was assigned to the National Security Agency with the navy as his cover. He married Judy Van Meeteren and worked in the travel industry in Houston and Austin. Later, they moved to Ogden, Utah where he worked for Job Corp 14 years and taught tourism at the University of Utah. He conducted more than 100 travel related workshops and seminars worldwide, founded Travel Advice (traveladvice.com), and authored many travel and e-books. Recently to escape the cold, he relocated to Roseville, California. During his life, Gerry traveled around the world 13 times, visited every recognized country, and had many dangerous and exotic adventures. Gerald was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving on the high council to a small branch in Texas for many years, and playing the piano for the children’s services for 18 years. He enjoyed working out at the gym, swimming, mountain biking/hiking, and white water kayaking. Since they were not blessed with children, Gerry had Siamese cats. Whenever he went out to eat, he always ordered dessert first.

Gerry will be remembered for his travel stories, and enthusiasm for life. Everything for Gerry was “fabulous”. 

He is survived by his brothers Gordon of SLC, Gene/Mary Gene of SLC, sister Barbara Shurtz/Mel of Anderson, SC, sister-in-laws Susan Fuller of Seattle, and Sara Ann Fuller of Highland, Utah and 29 nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, parents Gerald and Glenda Fuller, and brothers Grant, Glen, and Gilbert.  The family wishes to thank the caregivers for their compassionate care for Gerald.

A celebration of life will be held on September 27, 10:00 at Brighton 3rd ward building, 2301 E Bengal Blvd, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
