Obituary
Jerry was born December 9th, 1938 to George and Verna Rumberger Goss in Philipsburg, PA and passed on June 8, 2022 at his home in Fair Oaks, CA. He grew up on the dairy farm established by his great grandfather, Oliver Scott Rumberger, after the Civil War.
When Jerry made more money from the sale of the pig feeder that he built than from the pigs he raised, he knew he did not want to be a farmer. He came to California in 1959, and in 1960 met and married Della Durst, his wife of 62 years.
He worked at Aerojet, Lasher, Snyder, Niello, and Sacramento Jaguar auto dealerships. In 2005 he retired from Alldata (Autozone,) a company that develops auto repair computer software,
He enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding with family and friends, woodworking, racquetball and golf.
He is survived by his wife Della, his son, Robert, and wife, Claudia, grandsons, Cameron and Connor, his daughter, Ann Grava, and her husband, Bill, and granddaughter, Korina.
Friends are welcome at a celebration of Jerry's life on Sunday June 26, at 4:00pm, at Robert H. Miller III Rotary Clubhouse, 7150 Baldwin Dam Road, Folsom.
