Obituary

Gerardo Gonzalez, 55, of Puruandiro, Michoacan, passed away on the night March 6, 2023 after an automotive accident while working.

Gerardo was born on August 13th 1967 to Adolfo and Guadalupe Gonzalez Reyes. After deciding to immigrate to the United States of America and a few odd jobs, Gerardo forged a career as a line driver with Oak Harbor Freight Lines where he dedicated twenty-two and a half years of his life. What most would consider a Company man, Gerardo prided himself in his work and his safety record with Oak Harbor.

In 1994 he met his wife, Ana Topete, while they both worked for Packard Bell in Southern California. After a move to Sacramento, Ca in 1995, they had their son Adolfo Gonzalez in 1997 and would marry five years later on May 5th, 2001.

Gerardo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, regularly taking trips to Mexico to spend his holidays and hosting parties at his home. He found great joy in following his favorite soccer team, F.C Barcelona, and watching Spanish style bullfights live and online. He would leisurely partake in tequila tastings, he had an affinity for Mexico’s national spirit.

He is survived by his wife Ana and son Adolfo.

Gerardo will be sincerely missed by loved ones and friends.  

 

Gerardo Gonzalez, 55, de Puruandiro, Michoacan fallecio la noche de 6 de Marzo 2023, a causa de un accidente automovilístico mientras que trabajaba.

Gerardo nació el 13 de Agosto del ano 1967, sus padres fueron Adolfo y Guadalupe Gonzalez Reyes. Después de decidir emigrar a Los Estados Unidos y algunos trabajos, Gerardo armo una carrera con Oak Harbor Freight Lines como Camionero donde dedico veintidós anos de su vida. Fiel a Oak Harbor, Gerardo estaba orgullos de su trabajo y sus muy buenos antecedentes de seguridad.

En 1994 conoció a su esposa, Ana Topete, mientras que los dos trabajan por Packard Bell en el sur de California. Después de mudarse a Sacramento en el año 1995, tuvieron a su hijo Adolfo Gonzalez en 1997. Seis años depuse se casarían el 5 de Mayo, 2001.

A Gerardo le gustaba pasar el tiempo con su familia y amigos, seguido viajaba a Mexico a visitar su familia y disfrutaba armar fiestas en su casa. Le encantaba ver futbol y era fanático de las corridas de toros. Tenia una afición de tequila, la bebida nacional de Mexico.

Sus sobrevivientes son su esposa Ana y su hijo Adolfo.

Gerardo sera extrañado extremadamente por sus familiares y amigos.
