Harry Uyemura was born February 23, 1934 in Loomis, CA and passed away on March 18, 2021 with his family by his side. Harry was born to parents Eisuke and Kiku Uyemura and was their only son and one of seven children.
Harry was a graduate of Placer High School where he was a star athlete playing football and baseball. He was an avid sports fan, SF Giants and 49ers, and never missed seeing his daughter’s, Laurie Larson, high school/college sports games.
He worked for PG&E for 43 years, finally retiring as a gas foreman in 1999. Harry enjoyed traveling to Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. He loved boat rides, fishing, barbecuing and eating great meals. He spent his retirement years spending as much time as he could with his grandson, Ryan Larson.
He is survived by daughter Laurie Larson (Tim Larson), Grandson Ryan Larson, Ann Huntley-Garcia (Antonio Garcia), his sisters Kimiye Matsuoka, Tomiko “Dorothy “ Yasuda, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by parents Eisuke and Kiku Uyemura and sisters Momoye, Kiyoko, Hanako, and Betty. Dad we will never forget your unconditional love, toughness, humor, and generosity.
Thank you for everything. Due to COVID, no memorial service will be held.
