Ingrid Irene Simth, was born as Ingrid Irene Hallen on June 10th 1937 to Emil and Viola Hallen in Murray Utah. She had a brother Franklin Hallen. She met the love of her life Duane Smith and
was married on November 25, 1957. They had three beautiful daughters Carrie, Becky and Judy. She was blessed with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She found great happiness spending time with her family and friends at their home in Loomis. Ingrid passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday July 21, 2024. Ingrid enjoyed a full life with good friends traveling and playing music. She and Duane loved playing banjos and were part of the Sacramento Banjo Band. Ingrid was the president of the Sacramento Banjo Band for numerous years. She also enjoyed playing banjo with the Ukulele A’s, Tenner Twits and the Girls, Girls, Girls, all three banjo bands. She made so many dear friends through her love of music. Traveling was a big part of Ingrid and Duane’s life, enjoying many trips across our beautiful country. Some trips lasting months at a time, always having good times with old friends and new friends they met along the way. Mom, you will be missed in this world, but will live on in the hearts of all who came to know you. We love you so much. A graveside service will be held on July 31st 2024 10am at the Rocklin Cemetery: 4090 Kannasto Street, Rocklin CA 95677. Price Funeral Chapel (16-725-2109), directors.
