James Alan Kimball, of Citrus Heights, California, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2023. James, fondly known as Jim, Daddy Roo-Roo, Tango, Dad and Grandpa Jim. James was born to Robert and Mary Kimball, on August 8, 1946 in Alameda, California. James spent his childhood on the farms of Stockton, enjoyed the adventures of the High Sierra of his treasured North Shore Lake Tahoe, and settled in Fremont, California, where he met his beloved wife Karen and raised his family. After graduating high school, Jim joined the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War. Serving our country was important to James, later in life he joined the Air Force Reserve and retired as a Staff Sergeant .
James is survived by his wife of 50 years Karen, and two sons Garth and Brice. He is also survived by his brother Kenneth, and three cherished grandchildren James, Clara and Isabelle Kimball. He is preceded in passing by his mother and father Mary and Robert Kimball.
James loved sports, especially the Oakland A's and Oakland Raiders. He also enjoyed history, particularly our family's history. He was an avid archivist in Genealogy. James was always there to participate and enjoy his son's and grandchildrens various activities.
James' family will be hosting a private family service on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
