James Newell Samms was born on October 5, 1946 in Grand Junction, CO and passed away on January 15, 2020 in Fair Oaks, Ca. James married Cheryl Braun in 1967 and lost his beloved wife in 1979. James went on the raise their three children – Dawn, Christopher and Shiloh. James is survived by five grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, Ca).
