Janell Lund Meinzer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away in October of 2024 at the age of 67. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she lived with a strong faith and a deep love of her Savior. Knowing that families can be together forever was central to how Janell prioritized her family. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and a mother. She had a beautiful singing voice and was often seen singing in the church choir. She laughed easily and her smile was truly radiant. She never forgot a birthday and always sent thoughtful cards. Janell was always striving to love as the Savior does and looking for ways to serve. One of Janell’s favorite scripture passages was Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” She is dearly missed and her family takes comfort in knowing that she has had a joyful reunion with her beloved husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents (Vernon Lund and Joyce Lund), her sister (Dawn Smith), her husband (Jan Meinzer), and her son (Lance Meinzer). Janell is survived by her daughters (April Astle, spouse Seth Astle; Daniell Meinzer Philbrick; Camille Popken, spouse Justin Popken; and Hanna Low, spouse Tanner Low), her son (Josef Meinzer), her grandchildren (Rossi Meinzer, Gavin Astle, Michael Astle, Clara Astle, Braelyn Janell Miner, Addison Miner, Miriam Meinzer Philbrick, Samuel Meinzer Philbrick, Nolan Popken, May Low, and Peter Low) and her sisters (Leigh Ann Bennett, spouse Fred Bennett; Jeanette Roberts, spouse Doug Roberts; and Jill Fishback, spouse Leland Fishback). Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
