Janette Ellen Lively

On July 27, 2026, our beloved Janette Ellen Lively, age 66, passed away peacefully in her home in Lincoln, CA and returned home to our Heavenly Father.

She was born in Mesa, Arizona on January 5, 1960 to Theron and Betty Vines. Janette grew up in Scottsdale, AZ until she was eight years old. The family then moved to the Inland Empire in CA where she spent the majority of her younger years. After graduating high school, she moved to Provo, UT where she met Mark Steven Lively, her forever companion, in 1980. After a short courtship, the two were married for time and eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on May 1, 1981. After moving to Ione, CA to raise her family with Mark, Janette worked for Sutter Amador Hospital in Central Supply for 23 years doing what she did best, serving others. Throughout her latter years she worked as a receptionist where she greeted and helped others with her bright smile and Christlike kindness. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many different capacities. Most recently, serving weekly in the Feather River Temple in Yuba City, CA. 

Janette was an amazing cook and baker - as anyone who has had a meal prepared by her can attest. She never wanted to be the center of attention, yet her loving nature made her the center of her loved one’s lives. She was the first to FaceTime you on your birthday, always your biggest cheerleader, and always showed a thoughtful touch or act of service when you needed it.

Among all the roles that she held in her life, her greatest calling and passion was the title of Mom and Nana. Her four children and 13 grandchildren will continue to carry on her legacy of service, thoughtfulness, and positive attitude. We will deeply miss her, and forever remember Pink Nana.

She is survived by her four children, Lance Lively, Brian Lively, Holly Webster and Craig Lively. Her sisters Susan Nash and Julie Salele, and brother Terry Vines.

She was preceded in death by her parents Theron and Betty Vines, and sister Diane Tucker.

A memorial service celebrating Janette’s exceptional life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 10am PST at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1155 Liberty Ln, Lincoln, CA 95648.
