Jason Edward Farley was born in Salinas, CA on February 22, 1979 to Curtis and Susan Farley. His sweet nature was apparent as a baby and continued as he grew into a fun loving, yet sensitive man with a soft, tender heart.
Jason was active in many activities including singing/dancing groups, football, scouts, and golfing that facilitated his outgoing and jokester personality to emerge.
Jason was active and had a strong testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission for two years in Cebu, Philippines where he learned Cebuano and fell in love with the Filipino people and his church.
Within two months of his return to Sacramento, CA, he met the love of his life, Mindy and six months later they were married on July 12, 2002. They loved going to Disneyland together, camping trips, family reunions, and holiday activities. Everything Jason and Mindy did was done as a team with true love and devotion to each other.
In 2011, Jason finally became a father to his beautiful Jade. Jason loved his daughter fiercely and was dedicated to providing a stable, loving, and fun home for his family. He was hands-on in every aspect of parenting, providing a role model to his daughter of how a husband and father should be: loving, respectful, and involved.
Soon after Jade’s birth, Jason and Mindy moved from California to San Antonio, TX where they continued their adventures for the last 10 years.
Professionally, Jason held a variety of jobs until he found his perfect calling as a nurse. Jason was at his best when in the service of others. He always had a joke at the ready to lighten the mood, and his humor was able to make patients and coworkers feel at ease. It was the nursing profession and his sense of adventure and love of travel that took Jason and his family to Germany to work, live, and explore.
Friends, family, coworkers, church members, and anyone who crossed his path were drawn to his sincere joy and enthusiasm for life; he spread laughter and ease everywhere he went.
Jason left this earth too soon on April 18, 2023 in Stuttgart, Germany at the age of 44. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Susan Farley. He is survived by his wife Mindy and daughter, Jade, his siblings Janelle (Nate) Fuhriman, Curtis (Danyel) Farley, and Lynn Brown. Jason also leaves behind nieces, nephews, in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins who all love him greatly and will miss him tremendously.
There will be a memorial on Saturday May 6th at 11am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (8679 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624) and one in San Antonio, TX on May 20th.
