Born February 3, 1944 in Duluth, Minnesota passed away peacefully on April 3, 2020 in Sacramento, California. Survived by her husband Jose, sister Susan, sons Roberto, Arturo, Dana, William, and Richie, along with twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jill moved to Sacramento in 1955 where she continued to live until her passing. Jill was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and friend all while working as an administrator in the Sacramento Unified School District and later as Seasonal Clerk with the Franchise Tax Board. Jill was the utmost lover of all animals. As overwhelming as it may be, she ensured all of the neighborhood animals would have something to eat everyday. Jill was also the most kind and generous person you could ever know. She would give you her last dollar if she knew you were in need.
Most people did not know Jill was a published poet. The below poems are examples of her works;
My Life’s Book
My life’s book is written on my heart.
Made from life’s role and parts.
The joys I know are within there.
My sorrows are on pages hidden with care.
My book grows larger day by day.
For life’s memories are hard to decay.
Someday when my life’s book ends.
I have lived the book of life, that I have chosen.
To a Beautiful Person
Of her loving heart she freely does give,
And brings joy to those she has met.
Her eyes bespeak of her radiant charm,
And one feels comfort with-in her arms.
Her need of life is vibrant and clear,
And she passes it on to those that are near.
But of all the beauty that she possesses,
I cherish her love that never lessens.
All Mine
The earth, land, sky and sea,
Will all be mine in eternity.
For when I die, they will be,
All my heaven for me to see.
Mom, we love you eternally and will forever miss you. One day we will enjoy the earth, land, sky and sea together again.
