Jolayne Fairbanks Alexander of Brentwood, California passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024 with her 3 children; Kurt, Lori and Gary holding her hands. Jolayne was 89, born on October 8, 1934 to Miles and Delma Fairbanks and grew up where she was born in Barnwell, Alberta, Canada. She moved to California and was married to Norvel “Bud” Alexander on April 15, 1955 in Oakland, California, and then sealed for for “time and all eternity” in the Los Angeles Temple on September 7, 1956. Bud and Jolayne lived most of their lives together in the San Francisco Bay Area, residing in Oakland, San Francisco and Union City, with a stint in Mesa Arizona and their twilight years in Brentwood CA. At her passing Bud and Jolayne had been happily married for 69 years. Jolayne was a wonderful and valiant wife and mother and placed a sacred importance and focus on those roles. She was a woman who loved and served others, saw the good in everyone, without a single negative thing to say about another person. Throughout her life Jolayne was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints until the day her Heavenly Father brought her “home”. Jolayne is survived by her husband Norvel, her 3 children Kurt, Lori and Gary, 13 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11am in Springville, Utah at the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at following address: 351 North 1200 West, Springville, Utah 84663.
