Joyce Delema Melvin-Myers

On Saturday, the 6th of February, Joyce Delema Melvin-Myers of North Highlands, CA, passed peacefully (into the loving arms of Christ) at 80 years of age.

A native of Delaware, Joyce graduated Felton High School in 1958, and later earned her degree at American River Community College, and though she spent many years working in retail and as an Administrative assistant, she found her greatest joys in her role of Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

She is survived by Her siblings- Robert, Ronnie, Allen and Ruth;  her children- Janice and husband Dave, Valora Melvin, Sharon and husband Rick, Roxanne and husband Rich,  John and wife Julie, Ronald Jr and wife Stephanie, and her beautiful grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson and Ada Mae Edwards, her brother Billy Edwards, her high school sweetheart and first husband, Peter Melvin, and her second gift of true love, Ronald Myers, who she lost along with her beloved son Kevin Melvin this year. 

Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 5-7PM at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, 916-725-2109. Face coverings are required. The graveside service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 1:00PM at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento.
