Kay O’Brian, was born as Pearl Kathleen McGuire on March 25, 1943. Her parents were Pearl Elvena Anna McGuire and Harry William McGuire in Los Angeles, CA. Kay had a sister Barbara Ann, and a brother Harry William McGuire, Jr. Kay met the love of her life, Glen T. O’Brian and married on October 21, 1961, in the Aloha Wedding Chapel located in Long Beach, Ca. and was later sealed in the Oakland Temple. Kay and Glen had four children; Irish, Shannon, Robert and Rhonda. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Kay passed away on Monday, August 5th.
Kay found great happiness spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so proud of her family that she displayed pictures of them throughout their home. Kay loved nature and finding great joy with working in and exploring gardens. She especially loved flower gardens. She was a California girl, and was passionate about the beach and ocean. Her family will always remember how much she loved animals; horses, her dogs and cats. Kay was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many different callings. Kay, Mom, Grammy, Grammy Kay, you will be missed on this earth but will live on in the hearts of all who came to know you.
A memorial service for Kay will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1155 Liberty Lane, Lincoln, Ca. 95648. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
