Kelly Lyn Thomas, 50, of Roseville, CA., passed away on April 10, 2022. She was born on March 17, 1972, to David and Dayle Henderson in Carmichael, CA. She was raised in Fair Oaks along with her sister, Kara. She was active in music starting in elementary school and was a four-year member of the Del Campo High School concert and marching bands. She was also active with many programs at the Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, including the Cherub Choir, Youth Choir and Bell Choir. After high school she worked in various jobs, but her real calling was teaching. She completed a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education. She taught in the Twin Rivers, San Juan and Sacramento School Districts. After some serious medical issues, she was not able to return to the classroom, but true to her calling, she started teaching on-line with a Colorado school district and continued with them until the time of her death.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dayle Henderson; maternal grandmother, Doris Hart LeMaster; and her paternal grandparents “Hank” and Dorothy Henderson. Her buddy, her dog Pico, passed shortly before her. She is survived by her father, David Henderson (Ann), sister, Kara Henderson Palmer (Brian), and other family members, including the Stevens family, the Weir family and the Woodworth family. She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and sunny spirit.
A graveside service will be held at the Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive Street, Fair Oaks, California, on Tuesday, April 26th at 10 A.M. A reception will follow afterwards at the Fair Oaks Church, 11427 Fair Oaks Blvd.
