Kenneth Henry Kinder entered God’s Kingdom on February 23, 2023, at the age of 92. Kenneth was born on February 11, 1931, in Cordell, Oklahoma, to Vollie & Emmanual Kinder. From a young age, Kenneth loved watching the large cargo trucks trek along the highways and dreamed of someday driving one of them. After High school he made that dream a reality and began hauling lumber throughout California, and Washington; with a 2-year break where he served in the US Army from March of 1952 through March of 1954. In 1955 Ken fell in love and married Janey Cox of Grass Valley, CA. For over 56 years they created a loving home in Sacramento, CA, for their 4 children, and 5 grandchildren. In the early 1960’s Ken changed professions and became an electrician, and proud brother of the IBEW, Local 340. He was a hard worker from the young age of 11. He found a job selling newspapers and later in high school he got a job working at a tire factory. Work and family was always important as he faithfully supported his family until his retirement in 1989. He was a talented person who could build or fix just about anything. One of his proudest accomplishments was building a home in Grass Valley, alongside his son, Matthew Ray. Ken had many hobbies that fulfilled his journey of 92 years. As a teenager he began riding motorcycles and continued this passion through his 89th year of life!?! In his 70’s he joined a group of fellow motorcycle enthusiasts that met weekly to share breakfast, and then ride 100’s of miles together throughout the beautiful landscapes of Northern California. Kenneth was blessed to find love a second time. After the passing of his bride of 56 years, Ken met and married the lovely Shirley Hoffman of Lincoln, CA. Together they shared almost a decade of love, laughter, and companionship. Ken was a loving and kind-hearted man, who was devoted, and loyal to his family and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Janey Kinder, and his youngest son, Matthew Ray. He is survived by his oldest son, Mitchell, daughters, Tana and Alta, son-in-law John Ebersberger, grandchildren Jessica & Dallas Ljung, Connor & Levi Ebersberger, Braden Ljung, and great grandsons Elwood & Ford Berry.
