Laurie Diane Lambert was a caring sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world suddenly on March 3, 2021 at the age of 57. She was born to Barbara and Ronnie on October 23, 1963.
Laurie was known for her bubbly and outgoing personality. She made friends wherever she went and left impressions on everyone she met. She worked at Walmart for 14 years and was part of the Granite Bay team, being one of the few employees that opened the store that still work there. She was a self-checkout host and was called the Survey Queen. She was known for her care and compassion and was the spark of her store. Customers would come in just to see her and she would connect with them and be there for them like she had known them for years. She loved her job, her customers, and her work family. Laurie loved life which is why she shined so bright. She loved her cat Monday and her family. One of her favorite things to do was to bake chocolate chip cookies every year around the holiday time and package them up for her loved ones and friends. It was her way of spreading some cheer. She was a light taken too soon, but she is one that will never be forgotten. She overcame so much in her life and even when things were not easy, she would always have a smile on her face. She is a testament and inspiration to strength, love, and compassion.
Laurie was loved dearly not only by her friends but also by her family, her sister Barbara who was her best friend and confidant, her brother-in-law John who was her handy man on call, and her niece KelliAnn who was her taxi driver to take her to and from wherever needed. She will be severely missed by them as she was with them every day. They feel there is a hole that is left in their hearts which can never be filled. She is also survived by her sister Janet, niece Nicole, and nephew James.
