Larry lived his life always surrounded by the people he loved and who loved him. Born to  Herby and Beverly Ochsner on February 12, 1954 in Covington, Kentucky.  He moved from Kentucky to California with his father Herby, mother Beverly and brother John in the mid 1960s .After arriving in California their family grew by two more when sister Sharon and brother Harold joined their family .

After graduating from Luther Burbank High School Larry joined the United States Army. He traveled the world serving our country as a Recovery Specialist and Mechanic.  He was discharged with honors in 1975. Upon his return to state side he completed a apprenticeship program and became a member of the Bay Area Painters and Tappers Union.  Where her started his career that lasted over 40 years.

March 25, 1975 married Deborah they started their life together. In the fall of 1978 their first daughter was born Yolanda and  n the winter of 1980 their second daughter Nicole was born.  Larry liked fast cars and this lead to his time spent racing at All American Speedway. He enjoyed his time in the 56 Bomber.

When he retired from the Union he bought an ice cream truck. He serviced his neighborhood in Citrus Heights. He loved driving around meeting new people, talking to the old friends in the area. He always had an extra popsicle for the kids in the neighborhood that couldn’t afford a one. He became known as everyone's Papa…. Papa Popsicle, was known and loved by many.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating. He fished where ever he could throw a pole. He shared his love of the out doors with his girls and when he became a grandfather he then shared them with the grandkids. In 1999 his first Grandson was born Khot, then came Dennis, kp and Mya – they had the best Papa. He taught them to ride bikes, then dirt bikes, took them fishing and boating.  They helped on the ice cream truck and painted houses for spending money.  In  2017 he became a Great grandfather to Emiliano.  He carried on the traditions he started as a young father.

He was surrounded by family at the time of death on January 31, 2022.

He will be forever remembered and always loved.
