Lucas Carl Palmer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving son, Lucas Carl Palmer. Lucas was a kind, caring soul with an infectious smile and great laugh. He was quick witted and had a sarcastic sense of humor and loved to “dish it out” to whoever he was around. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lucas was born in Sacramento, CA, October 4,1999 to Edwin and Paula Palmer. His sister Arianna joined us in March of 2001 to complete the family.

Lucas attended Earl Le Gette, Carnegie Middle School, and graduated from Bella Vista High School in 2017. He attended Sierra College for a short time.

Lucas was a happy boy who loved to dress up in costumes and run around the neighborhood. Our neighbors would take odds on “who” Lucas was going to be that day.

Lucas always liked to try many sports and activities: soccer, karate, flag football, football, break dancing, hunting, fishing, wrestling, but his one true love was baseball. He started playing when he was 5 and became an All-Star at FOVLL and played the game with so much heart. Lucas went on to play with many travel teams, at Bella Vista High School, and at Sierra College. His motto was “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” He had a high baseball IQ and was deceptively quick for his size. He was a great teammate on and off the field.

Lucas was an avid motorcycle lover. He began riding dirt bikes when he was 2 1/2. His passion grew with time and he started riding on the street when he got his permit at 15. He also enjoyed drag racing motorcycles with his dad and sister at Sacramento Raceway, Sonoma, Redding and Samoa.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Eddy and Paula Palmer, sister, Arianna Palmer, Grandmother, Freda Palmer, Grandparents, John & Vera Doris, Aunts and Uncles, Pete & Jackie Rodriguez, Maritza Rodriguez, Rose Scalmato, Wanda Cruz, Carlos & Chelsea Rivera, Genise Doris, and Dominick Doris. Lucas grew up extremely close to his cousins, Ashley & Alexandrea Doris and has numerous cousins out of state. Growing up away from most family, we had friends that became family. “Framily” is what we lovingly refer to them as. Special thanks to the Nasca’s, the Perez’s, the Johnsen’s, and White’s for being part of our “Framily”. Lucas loved you all. Lucas was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Pedro Rodriguez Palmer, Uncles Joseph & David Palmer, John Doris Jr., Aunt Jeanette Schaffer, and cousin, Faith Valenzuela.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Phoenix Park, 9050 Sunset Ave., Fair Oaks, CA 95628 (by the baseball fields) from 11-1.
