Orangevale, California – Luis Angel Espinoza-Alvarez, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2023.
Born on August 21, 1983, in Mexico City, Mexico, Luis was the beloved son of Olivia Alvarez. He spent much of his life in California, where he made lasting impressions on everyone he met.
As a young man, Luis was an enthusiastic member of the Boy Scouts of America and maintained a deep love for the outdoors throughout his life. A proud graduate of Independence High School, Class of 2002, Luis ventured into various parts of Northern California, including Oakland, Petaluma, San Jose, and San Francisco. His genuine kindness and tenderness allowed him to quickly form meaningful friendships wherever he went.
Luis had an infectious smile and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a profound love for reading, particularly complex subjects and historical non-fiction. Luis also had a passion for writing, leaving behind an extensive collection of works that reflect his love for his family, his life experiences, and his aspirations—a lasting and cherished legacy.
Luis’s light was unique and enduring. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will continue to warm our hearts and inspire us.
Luis is survived by his mother Olivia, his siblings Sergio, Jesus (Jesse) and Arlene, his step-father Jesus, and his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Luis will be dearly missed but will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
