Mary Leigh Carpenter

Mary Leigh Carpenter, 65, of Citrus Heights passed away on December 9, 2021. Mary was born on September 25, 1956 in La Jolla, California to parents Ruth Patricia and Edward Clarke Moore III. As a child she became interested in barrel racing and horse riding. As she grew older her love for horses grew to an encompassing love for all animals. After she graduated from Del Oro High School she attended Utah State University. She went on to become a certified lab technician for humans and animals, which suited her well as she loved both dearly. She married the love of her life, John Carpenter, in the spring of 1985. She later went on to be the forever home for many German shepards and pitbulls. She is preceeded in the afterlife by her father Edward Clarke Moore III, her mother Ruth Patricia Moore and her husband John Carpenter. She will be missed by her family, her friends, and her dogs. An online memorial will be held at a later date.
