Melissa Anne Dunrud

Melissa Anne Dunrud was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed
away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home on November 12, 2024, at the age of 69.

She was born to John and Helen “Babe” Mead on July 20, 1955, in Healdsburg, CA. After
graduating high school Melissa met the love of her life, Dennis Dunrud. Together, the two of
them spent many nights traveling around the west coast in Dennis’s van having the best time
together. They were married on November 25, 1978, in Incline Village, NV and had 3 daughters,
Darla, Deanna and Danielle.

Melissa loved spending time with her family and playing games, especially Poker, Cribbage, and
Pinochle. She loved her kitty Elsie, cooking for her family and never missed watching a San
Francisco Giants or 49ers game on TV.

Melissa is survived by her husband Dennis, her daughters Darla (Mike), Danielle (Adam) and
bonus daughter Dawn (Brody). She is also survived by her grandchildren Christian, Dylan
(Myranda), Sydney, Logan, Madelyn, Myles, her soon-to-be-born great-granddaughter Oakley,
sisters Kathy and Donna, brother Dave, and beloved cousins and friends. She is preceded in
death by her parents, brothers Steve and Tommy, sister Barbara, and daughter Deanna.

A celebration of life is being held at the Masonic Center in Folsom (1000 Duchow Way, Folsom,
CA 95630) at 4pm on Saturday, November 30th, all are welcome to come and celebrate our
beloved Melissa.
