Michael (Mike) Jacobson

January 8, 1943 ~ June 5, 2021 (age 78)

Michael (Mike) Jacobson, of Roseville, passed away unexpectedly, early in the morning on June 5th, 2021 at home. He was born January 8, 1943 in Spokane, WA, to Harley and Ann Jacobson.

An Air Force “brat”, Mike grew up traveling the United States and the world with his parents and two brothers. He graduated from Kaiserslautern American High School in Germany. Mike had a long career in the financial services industry, primarily in the mortgage lending and transaction closing businesses. For over a decade, he worked in Newport Beach, CA during the week and traveled home to Granite Bay on the weekends to be at home with his wife, Susan, and their various dogs. He was also a devoted dad to his children Susie and Brian and spent time with them as often as possible.

Mike enjoyed traveling the world with Susan, usually in search of great golf courses. Mike truly had the gift of hospitality. He loved to cook and entertain at home and especially enjoyed preparing elaborate grilled and smoked dishes in his outdoor kitchen. He loved all forms of professional sports, but especially Football and Basketball. He served as “commissioner” of many Fantasy Football leagues over the decades and he and Susan were Kings season-ticket holders for several years.

Mike is survived by his wife, Susan, his son, Brian, his granddaughter Lindsey, and his brothers, Don and Keith and their families.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18th, at 1:00PM at Price Funeral Chapel in Citrus Heights. A reception will follow at Sierra View Country Club in Roseville.
