Michelle Gish Wachter was born on December 26, 1959, in San Francisco, California. At the age of six months, her parents moved the family to Carmichael, where she attended Thomas Kelly Elementary, Barrett Intermediate, and Del Campo High Schools.
She enjoyed many activities in her youth such as Carmichael girls' softball, campfire girls, and participating with her horse, Applejack, in the Gold Trail Mounties.
In high school, she was active in the Drama Club and was involved in theatrical productions. In this club, she made friendships that lasted her entire life.
After high school, she attended American River College and worked for several years at Montgomery Ward. She and her husband Dave owned the ‘new age’ shop Euphoria, in midtown Sacramento before she worked for the County of Sacramento where she eventually retired.
After retirement, Michelle joined her husband, John, in the hobby of paranormal investigating. She also continued her lifelong hobbies of crafting, gardening, and woodworking. She loved music and although her concert-going days had passed, her home was always filled with tunes.
Michelle is survived by her husband of fifteen years, John Wachter; her children Marissa and Michael Mosca; her grandson William Mosca-Bickel and her sisters Margaret Morillon and Mary Gish.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dave Paykel, her sister Melissa Krahl, and her parents Bill and Marion Gish.
