Nancy Marie Muck of Citrus Heights passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 at the
age of 92. Nancy was born on August 22, 1932 to Grace and Peter Delgado and grew
up in San Francisco, where she graduated from Commerce High School in 1949. After
moving to the Sacramento area, she met Harvey Muck, whom she married in 1959.
They had two children, Kevin and Patricia.
Nancy worked for the U.S. Postal Service for nearly 30 years and ultimately headed the
Injury Compensation department for the Sacramento region. Following her retirement
from the Postal Service, she remained active as a volunteer at local schools and at the
Citrus Heights Police Department. Nancy was an avid reader, student of politics, and
sports fan, particularly of the San Francisco Giants. But what she loved most was
spending time with her family and friends, all of whom will miss her greatly.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Patricia Moore, her son Kevin Muck and daughter-in-
law Susan Muck, grandson Kevin Moore, grandson Patrick Moore and his wife Julie
Moore, granddaughter Alyssa Muck, grandson Alex Muck, and nieces Calista Ruzicka,
Melorie Stickles, and Julie Hornick. Her husband Harvey passed away in 2014.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
