Nancy Ralls

Nancy Hicks Ralls was born April 7, 1939 in Lynchburg Virginia to LeRoy and Martha Patterson Hicks.  Nancy passed away in the loving arms of her family, on December 27, 2024.

From a young age, she exhibited a nurturing spirit, caring for her three younger brothers and assisting her mother and grandmother with chores. Her love for animals was evident; one of her closest friends was a pet chicken. She cherished the natural beauty of Virginia, finding joy in the sight of chickadees, daisies, and dogwoods- elements that later adorned her home in California.

Nancy attended Brookville High, where she forged lifelong friendships. Shortly after relocating to California, she met and married her beloved, Don Ralls. A year later, they welcomed their first of four children. Nancy's love for her children was boundless. She was their unwavering ally and constant cheerleader, always encouraging them to strive for their best.

Nancy was a talented artist and writer, with numerous works published in magazines and a cherished children's book titled "Dixie is with Jesus".  A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Nancy held numerous callings in the church and cultivated lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don Morris Ralls, her brothers LeRoy and Al Hicks and her son, Don Lee Ralls. She is survived by her brother Doug Hicks, her daughter DeVonna Flanagan, and sons David and Daniel Ralls, her son in-law John Flanagan, daughter in-law Christy Ralls, and cherished grandchildren, Heather Geyer, John and Heidi Flanagan, Haley, Katelyn, Don and Hailey Ralls, great grandchildren, Dylan Flanagan, Eric Whitaker, Tanner, Forrest, and Saige Geyer, Flynn, Farrah and Eamon Flanagan. Her love lives on in each one.

Services to be held January 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8267 Deseret Ave, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Price Funeral Chapel (916-725-2109), directors.
