Nikki Charlotte Stromp Obituary

Nikki Charlotte Stromp died at age 76 in Folsom, California on November 29, 2023, after a long illness.  She was born in Detroit, Michigan, but lived most of her life in Houston and Austin, Texas.  Over the years Nikki visited California often to be with close friends, and she finally moved to California in May 2023.

Nikki held a B.A. in Psychology degree from Case Western Reserve University and a M.A. in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston.  Early in her career, she worked in Houston as a vocational counselor and a program coordinator.  Later, in Austin, she held various volunteer positions with civic organizations and was President of her homeowner association.

Not someone who gave in to adversity, Nikki always looked forward and sought solutions for any problems that confronted her.  She loved nature and was moved by its beauty and the inner peace that it gave her.  She also loved travel, yoga, and singing, and was often a member of a choir.  In addition, Nikki had a great sense of style and loved to create beautiful flower arrangements.

Nikki loved animals, and always had a small dog by her side to give her comfort.  In the end, she left behind her beloved Pomeranian named Poppy.

Nikki Stromp is survived by her half-brother Deane Kogelschatz and his family in Alabama and her cousin Linton Hamilton and his family in Connecticut, as well as by close friends in Texas, Indiana and California.
