Norma B. Jones

Norma B. Jones of Roseville California passed peacefully away at her care facility in Roseville, CA on the evening of October 18, 2023.  She was 93 years old.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, J Jerald in 1998, and her son Douglas in 2015.  She was a retired worker for the State of California.

Norma was raised in Provo, Utah and is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She graduated from Provo High School and met her future husband, J Jerald, shortly after World War 2 as he was attending Brigham Young University.  After his Graduation she and J Jerald relocated to California where they raised a family of three children; Gordon, Douglas, and Jacqueline. 

Norma earned her AA degree in Childhood Development from Solano College and worked as a teacher in the Headstart program for the Vallejo Unified School District.  She was active in community affairs, working as Secretary for the local League of Women Voters and served in numerous Church assignments for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

After retirement, Norma found enjoyment in traveling to over 50 countries, serving in both the Oakland and Sacramento temples and volunteering her service for hospitals and local support agencies in the Roseville California area.  She is survived by her children, Gordon & Jacqueline, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be on October 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint chapel, 1240 Junction Blvd.  Roseville, CA 95678
