Paul Adam White Obituary

Paul Adam White, 59, of Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, no doubt already looking for the celestial section with the best view of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Born March 1, 1966, in sunny Santa Clara, California, to Richard Paul White and Robin Marjorie Morris. Paul soon traded palm trees for snowdrifts when the family moved to the tiny town of Fabius, NY. There he grew up surrounded by rolling hills, epic backyard sledding marathons, summer nights chasing fireflies, and wild rides on the famous “Socksie-Mobile”—a go-kart that still lives in family lore.

Paul graduated from Chenango Valley High School with that trademark grin already in place and later studied Medical Coding & Billing at Elmira Business Institute.

Paul devoted two years of his life to serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Denver Colorado Mission, He came home with an even bigger heart and a rock-solid testimony. Paul never stopped serving, whether it was a neighbor, a friend, or a stranger, Paul was always the first to volunteer. Community service was simply part of who he was. Right up until his final days he was humbly serving as 1st counselor in his ward’s Elders Quorum presidency, the vice president of his residence community, and the guy who always showed up at the Provo Temple with extra family names tucked in his pocket

Professionally, Paul worked as a Document Prep Clerk at JP Morgan Chase in Binghamton, New York, and later as a Member Service Advisor at Blue Shield of California in El Dorado Hills, CA.

In his free time, Paul poured his heart into photography and digital editing. He had a true gift for taking everyday photos—family snapshots, community activities, or simple scenic shots around Provo.  With a few gentle touches, transforming them into something warm, magical, and truly special. His edited pictures always seemed to capture the beauty of the moment, and the love behind it.

A true Cougar at heart, Paul never let anything dim his BYU spirit. On beautiful Provo days you’d find him in his electric wheelchair, grinning ear-to-ear as he roamed the campus he loved, soaking in every sight and sound. And when the Cougars were playing at LaVell Edwards Stadium, nothing made him happier than game day—especially when the incredible staff at Provo Rehab and Nursing made it possible to get him there, pom-poms (or at least his loudest “Rise and shout!”) ready to cheer his team on.

Paul had strong opinions about food: sushi was heaven, mint chocolate chip ice cream was non-negotiable, and a warm snickerdoodle could fix almost anything. However, offer him a potato chip? He’d look at you like you’d just insulted his mother. (Some things are simply unforgivable.)

He is survived by his father, Richard White and his siblings April Hansen, Margo Aston, Jared White, Kurt White, and Jenny Truman; as well as an ever-growing army of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly. He was welcomed home by his beautiful mother, Robin, who’s no doubt already recruited him for heavenly cookie-tasting duty.

If you knew Paul, you’re smiling right now—because that’s what he did: he made people smile. The world feels a little quieter without his laugh echoing down the hallway, but heaven just got a whole lot brighter.

We love you, Paul.
