Peter Walter De Toro was born on May 17, 1962 in Santa Ana, California and passed away on March 16, 2020 in Carmichael, California due to hypertensive heart disease. Peter was a resident of Citrus Heights, California at the time of his passing and 57 years old. Peter is survived by his mother Barbara Clarke and father Pedro De Toro and step-mother Judith De Toro. Peter also had six siblings: Elizabeth, Elaine, Margo, Dominic, Jeff and Alicia, he was also survived by two nephews Joseph and Matthew and a niece Kristen. Peter was never married and had no biological children. Peter had a partner of several years Josie and raised her two children Steven and Veronica and most recently was Grandpa to Avalon and Cole, Josie’s grandchildren.
Peter is also survived by his uncle Don Kent and aunt Nancy Kent, his aunt Pat Scott, and uncles Michael and Robert “Bobby” De Toro. Uncles Ben Scott Sr. and Manual De Toro (predeceased) Peter. Peter also had Kent, Scott, and De Toro cousins and four grand nieces and nephews.
Peter attended schools in Santa Ana and Corona, California and played on many sports teams. Peter graduated from Liberty High School in Renton, Washington in 1980. Peter was the captain of the football team at Liberty High School. Later in life, Peter was assistant coach of the football team at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks, California. Peter worked in the sales profession most of his life.
Those who knew Peter will remember his infectious smile and his kind heart. Peter was a big man with overwhelming charisma who had many friends. Peter had a penchant for making lots of friends. Peter will be missed by all who knew him including his family who deeply loved him.
Peter was cremated on March 24, 2020. A traditional funeral will not be conducted. A private family gathering and A Celebration of Life is pending due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
