Priscilla Sellick Obituary

Priscilla Sellick (née Hatfield) answered a call to a new beginning in that House not made with Hands eternal in the heavens on June 7, 2022 at home with her loving family.

Priscilla was a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiology and Intensive Care.  She worked at Sutter General Hospital, Mercy General Hospital and the University of California Medical Center, Davis where she retired as Supervisor of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory. She worked 22 years at Mercy General in the Coronary Care Unit. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Health Science from Chapman University.

Priscilla was born on April 20, 1945, in Salem MA to Gladys E. and Captain Harry C. Hatfield of Hamilton, Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Michael Lee Sellick, her daughter Rebecca Anne Garber (Ryan) of Beufort, South Carolina, son Michael C. Sellick (Janelle) of American Canyon, California, and daughter Jennifer Sellick of Citrus Heights.  And eight grandchildren, Jacob Garber, Cynthia Garber Hayes (Daniel) Haylie Garber and Kayla Garber all of Beufort, and Megan, Mia, Josie, and Madelyn Sellick of American Canyon.  Her sister Martha McGrath (Paul) of Hamilton, Massachusetts, Brother Arthur (Margaret) of Essex Massachusetts, and sister-in-law Janice Hatfield of Hipoluxo, Florida as well as sister-in-law Victoria Dalkey (Fred) of Sacramento. Her brothers Richard Hatfield M.D. and Robert preceded her in death as did her parents.

Her dear friends and classmates at the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing Patricia Glennon of Manchester by the Sea, MA and Marilyn Slaney Dork of Mississippi will miss her telephone calls, as will a host of friends at Curves who enjoyed frequent coffee klatches and Mexican Train.

A celebration of Life will be held at the Friends Community Church 4000 E Street in Sacramento on Saturday, June 25th at 10 am. Her dear friend Rev. Jim Healton will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Sacramento Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center, the Shrine Hospital for Children, or the preferred or the charity of your choice.
