Ramon Mora Obituary

Ramon Mora, 82, born April 9, 1939, in Granada, Nicaragua, setoff for his final destination with our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 17, 2021, in Roseville, CA.

He was a beloved husband and best friend of 63 years to Esther Mora.  He is survived by his three children: Maria Mora of Antelope, CA, Esperanza (Evan) Bladh of South San Francisco, CA, and Edgard (Marie) Mora of Sacramento, CA. He was preceded in death by his three children: Martha Mora (deceased at 9 months), Jose Ramon Mora (January 25, 2021), and Carolina Mora (June 1, 1996).  Ramon lovingly adopted and raised his two grandchildren: Jessica (Lance) Conceicao-Pallett and Erica (Gabriel) Vera.  He was the caring grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and his furry grandchild Chubs.

Ramon was born to Margarita Torres and Jose Antonio Mora. At the age of 7 years, he lost his father and experienced many difficulties as a child. He was involved in a devastating accident at the age of 18 years, which caused a debilitating injury to his femur. Despite his hardships, he managed to conquer the heart of his soulmate Esther Mora with a stolen kiss. Married at 19 years of age to his beloved 17 year old bride, they overcame many struggles in Nicaragua. They started their family under humble circumstances, but they were successful in creating a home rich in love.

In 1971, he moved his family to the United States in search of a better life where he worked diligently to provide his children with safety, comfort, and a better education.  Ramon successfully received a vocational certificate as an electronics technician and an automotive mechanic. After being blessed with the title grandfather, he devoted much of his time to nurturing his grandchildren. He spent countless hours providing support to his children by being fully engaged in all possible areas of their development. His heart felt joy for each, and every grandchild, great grandchild, and his first great-great grandchild born. He desired for the very best for the people he loved, and he made many sacrifices to be present.  He was a life-saver in a literal sense, having revived more than one grandchild in distress when encountered in emergency medical situations.

Ramon was a fanatic of baseball and gifted his love for the sport to all his grandchildren with numerous trips to San Francisco Giants games. He was a passionate coach of baseball, later coaching his youngest son and making a point to attend as many sporting events as he could of his great grandchildren. To all that knew him, he was a jokester, repairman, and a safe place to be consoled. He lit up a room with his presences and humor. He was important to all who knew him. He was a God-fearing man, who devoted his time to studying the Bible and prayer.
