With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we bid farewell to a remarkable soul who graced our lives with her presence. Rebecca, age 76, passed away on July 18, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and enduring memories cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born on March 30, 1947, Rebecca was the only daughter to Joseph and Ileen Smith and sister to Aaron, Daniel and Michael.  She was a wonderful mother to Melissa Berg and Jennifer Sturgis and grandmother to Hannah and Katy Berg and Lauren and Kaycee Sturgis.  Rebecca was a true embodiment of strength and resilience. Throughout her life, she exemplified unwavering dedication to family, friends, and community, touching countless lives with compassion and generosity. She approached every challenge with determination and a positive spirit, inspiring those around her to persevere in the face of adversity.

A free spirit, entrepreneur and adventure enthusiast, Rebecca showed an insatiable curiosity for the world and a hunger for knowledge. These qualities led her to achieve significant accomplishments in many aspects of her life, earning the admiration and respect of peers and colleagues.

Above all, Rebecca's greatest joy came from the simple pleasures in life. She found solace in spending time with loved ones, be it at home, on adventures, or during cherished gatherings. A beloved family member and friend to many, she leaves behind a void that can never be filled.

In times of happiness and sorrow, Rebecca remained an unwavering source of support and understanding. She was a confidante, a pillar of strength, and a shoulder to lean on during life's most challenging moments. The empathy and warmth she radiated served as a beacon of light for all, illuminating the paths of others during their darkest hours.

Rebecca will forever be remembered for her crazy adventures, her genuine smile, and her infectious laughter. The impact of her life extends far beyond the boundaries of the physical world, residing forever in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
