Richard Alden Bell

Richard Alden Bell of Lone Tree, Colorado passed away on June 13th,2022 at the age of 83.  Richard was Born in Ventura, California to Dave and Bernice Bell on June 4, 1939.  He was the youngest of three children.  In July 1957 he married Mattie Kay Straughan and together they raised three children, Melinda, Lisa and Randy.

Richard worked for Pacific Telephone in Southern California until 1971 when they decided to move their family out of Los Angeles, and he accepted a position at Roseville Telephone Company where he worked until retirement in 2001. Following his retirement, he split time between Colorado and Arizona. He enjoyed four wheeling with his retired buddies in the desert and traveling around visiting family.

Richard leaves behind his loving children, Melinda Grady, Lisa Orleman and Randy Bell. Grandchildren Jennifer Close, Dave Orleman, Casey Gipson, Lindsay Moore, Blake Orleman, Chase Bell, Hope Larsen, Brooke Gray and Jaxson Bell along with 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Bell.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a viewing from 11:30-12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, California and are invited to the memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at the Newcastle Cemetery Gazebo, 850 Taylor Road, Newcastle, California.
