Ronald John Boyd

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Ronald J. Boyd, who left this world peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, four sons, and many grandchildren.

Ronald was born on June 4, 1949, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CAN. From an early age, Ronald embodied the values of hard work, kindness, and quiet determination that would guide him throughout his life.

He was a devoted husband to Linda Boyd, his loving partner through 52 years of marriage. Together, they built a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering support. Ronald was a proud father to four sons — Terry Massey, Jonathan Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Sean Boyd — who were his greatest source of pride. His guidance, strength, and example live on through them.

An accomplished Design Engineer, Ronald had multiple patents under his name impacting several fields, including the medical field and the military field. Ronald also was an accomplished wood worker and upholsterer. Having spent many years working in his father’s shop while growing up, he was able to furnish a house with his own skill set and provide for his family in multiple ways. Some of the furniture he has built has been passed on and is currently in use by his grandchildren.

Ronald will always be remembered as a loving husband, a loving father, a family provider and protector, and as an accomplished professional.

A private service will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made in Ronald’s memory to a charity close to your heart. His life was a blessing, and his memory a treasure. Ronald J. Boyd will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
