Ronald Cloyd Davis, 83, loving father and husband, passed away peacefully in his home during the early hours of February 13th 2022. Ronald, was born November 18, 1938 to Cloyd Woodrow Davis and Edith Davis in Pima, Arizona. Ron, his parents and his 2 sisters later moved to Roseville, California where he graduated from Roseville Union High School in 1956. Ron served in the United States Navy, aboard the U.S.S O’Brian from 1957 thru 1961. Ron Served a 2 year mission from 1961 to 1963 in Makay, Queensland, Australia for the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ron married the love of his life, Anita Mathews, on May 10th 1966 in Oakland, California. Ronald and Anita had 7 children. Ron served many years as a volunteer firefighter, while also working for the Department of Defense at McClellan Air Force Base for 33 years. He is known for the many times he went out of his way to serve others.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Cloyd Davis and Edith (Allred) Davis, his wife Anita (Mathews) Davis, and his sister, Sue (Davis) Kashow. Ronald is survived by his 7 children, Joseph Davis, Kathleen (Davis) Theodorovic , Jeffrey Davis, Alan Davis, Sarah (Davis) Cherpeski , Rebecca (Davis) Sannar, and Eric Davis, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and his sister Linda (Davis) Lofing.
Friends and family are welcome to attend services on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 10:15AM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
