Rosemarie Densley Groth

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Rosemarie Densley Groth, age 65. Rose was born in Murray, Utah on August 27, 1954. Her parents, Kenneth Gordon Densley and Barbara N. Maynard lived in Riverton, Utah at the time.

Her family moved to California in 1966, and to Carmichael, CA in 1969. She attended La Sierra High School and graduated in 1972. She was a straight “A” student and participated in the Drama club on campus. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from California State University, Sacramento.

She and her family were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was through church and school that she became acquainted with the love of her life, Robert Kelly Groth. They married in 1974 and have lived in Loomis, CA since 1978.

Rosemarie was a stay at home mom for 23 years, devoted to raising her five children. She adored her sixteen grandchildren. She was able to visit all of her children and grandchildren in the two weeks before her passing. She passed away peacefully in her home with Kelly and children at her bedside.

Rosemarie spent the last 22 years following in the footsteps of her father as an educator. Initially, Rosemarie taught at Cavitt Jr. High, followed by Springview Middle School. Then nine years ago, following promptings, she assisted Dean and Linda Foreman in creating John Adams Academy. It was the love of her professional career. Above all, Rose has an appetite for learning and loved her scholars. It was her ambition and desire to help others learn from history’s greatest role models. She exceeded the norms in all aspects of life. As Wife, Daughter, Mother, Educator and Saint, she strove for excellence in all of her endeavors.

The master teacher in her life was our Savior, Jesus Christ. She was in-tune with the promptings of the Holy Ghost and followed those whisperings in both work, home, and school.

In church she worked in the Young Women’s, Seminary, and Relief Society organizations.

She is survived by her Husband of 45 years, Kelly Groth, and children Carly Groth, Autumn Groth Peterson (Scott), Amanda Groth Andersen (Jason), Jacob Robert Groth (Kristin) and Emily Groth Allen (Chris), and sixteen grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00pm at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA; 916-725-2109).  Memorial Service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3345 Margaret Dr Loomis 95650 at 10:30 on December 21, 2019.  Interment At Newcastle Cemetery on December 23, 2019 at 9:00AM.
