Obituary

Roy II was born November 30, 1980 in Bakersfield CA, and went to meet the Lord May 2, 2022 at the age of 41. He was the youngest of four children. He is survived by his son Waylon Lee, father Roy Lee, mother Adeline, three sisters Michele, Shawn, and Jennifer and two nieces Gabriella and Solaye, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Roy II was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. As a youth Roy II was an All-Star in both baseball and football. He loved music, and writing poetry and mostly loved pestering his sisters even through adulthood. He also loved to play the guitar, he was self-taught. He was funny and had a sense of humor with the best laugh ever. He had the vision to open a recovery house for men with children named “Morning, Noon and Night”. He was a generous man lending a hand to those in need. Roy celebrated 5 yrs clean and sober. He moved to the Sacramento area in 1998. He loved fishing, especially with his son Waylon. His proudest joy was his son and his proudest accomplishments were becoming a Journeyman Iron Worker and working on the new Folsom Dam. Every time he passed the dam he pointed out that he helped build it, he was so proud. He will truly be missed by many.

3 Psalm 23:
"The LORD is my shepherd; I
shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His
name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of My enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Lyrics played:

Don’t cry for me
Don’t shed a tear
I’ve been set free
No need to fear
God spoke to me
My time has come
He made a way to bring me home
I’m well within my soul
My pain is gone forever
Don’t cry for me
My body’s been made whole
Don’t cry for me
We’ll soon be back together
Don’t cry for me
I’m well within my soul
I saw the light
I took his hand
We flew on high
To a promised land
My soul lives on
To a better place
With all his glory
With all his grace
Don’t cry for me
My pain is gone forever
Don’t cry for me
My body has been made whole
Don’t cry for me
We’ll soon be back together
Don’t cry for me
I’m well within my soul.
My pain is gone
Please understand
My fussing? was in God’s great plan
I’m with you still each day and night
Just close your eyes
I’ll hold you tight
Don’t cry for me
My pain is gone forever
Don’t cry for me
I’m well within my soul
I wait for you at heaven door
We’ll meet again one day for sure
Don’t cry for me
My pain is gone forever
Don’t cry for me
My body has been made whole
Don’t cry for me
I’m well within my soul.
