Roy Albert Goss, Jr. passed away on December 29, 2019 in Mather, CA. Roy was the first born son of Roy Sr. and Gertrude Goss on October 27, 1920 in Oakland, CA. Roy was a WWII vet and specialized in electrical motor winding by trade since 1947. On December 7th, 1942 he married Ann L. VanDyk in Berkeley, CA. On October 7th, 1979 they were sealed for all eternity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakland Temple. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann as well as his parents and brother (Kenneth W. Goss).
Roy is survived by his loving daughter Marni (John) Vincent and his grandchildren Jennifer, Kimberly (Tim Mavy), and Michael. He also has five Great-grandchildren Noah, Lucas, Gabriella, Ezra and Lydia Mavy.
Roy loved sailing (especially on Lake Tahoe) and flying but above all else he loved his family. He was a kind man and always spoke kind of anyone he came in contact with. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday January 16th, 2020 at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1875 S Auburn St, Colfax, CA 95713).
