It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and friend, Ruth, who left us in the late evening on June 26, 2025. A warm and loving soul, Ruth had a heart as big as her spirit. She was as stubborn as they came, but it was that determination that fueled her intelligence and care for those around her.
Ruth had a profound love for animals, though she had her limits when it came to insects and the occasional tarantula brought home by her eldest, Kandina. Her passion for life was complemented by a strong faith and her love of the Lord; a proud graduate of a Christian College back east, Ruth instilled her values in everyone she met. With her playful personality and a heart of gold, she brought joy to all who crossed her path. She had an incredible talent for welcoming anyone into her life, whether human or animal, offering love and acceptance to all, even those who might not have recognized their own need for it.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife who cherished her family wholeheartedly. Ruth leaves behind three loving children, Kandina, Michael, and Karen. She is survived by her adoring husband Jim, her four cherished grandchildren, Atheena and Matthew, Adrian, RJ, and a sweet little great-granddaughter Emily, who all brought her immense joy.
Ruth will be missed terribly, leaving an irreplaceable void in our lives. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us as we carry her spirit in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, we love you.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her honor to a local animal shelter or wildlife foundation, as Ruth loved animals and was always eager to help in any way she could.
