Seymour Paul Steed

Seymour Paul Steed, age 83 of Roseville, California, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17th, 2025. He was surrounded by his five children and other loved ones.

He was born on April 7th, 1942 in San Francisco to Seymour and Jane Steed. Paul, as he was known, grew up in the Bay Area, where he attended school and worked in the family paint store.

He married Patricia Parker in 1967 and together they built a life filled with love, family, and faith. Paul was known for love of God and family. He worked hard and served selflessly, and touched many lives through his academic career and church service.

He is survived by his brother and sister, his five children, five children-in-law, 18 grandchildren, 7 grandchildren-in-law, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Patricia.

A memorial service will be held on September 6th, 2025 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Van Maren Lane, Citrus Heights, California. Friends and family are welcome to gather and honor his memory.

Above all, Paul will be remembered for the love, service, and guidance he gave to thousands. His greatest joy was helping people feel seen and loved.
