Sharon Sanders Obituary

Sharon Paula Sanders, 86, beloved mother and friend, passed away after a short illness on January 27th, 2023, in Folsom CA.  Sharon was born in Fullerton, CA on October 23rd, 1936. After graduating from Fullerton High School in 1954, she attended Methodist Hospital of Los Angeles School of Nursing where she became a Registered Nurse. She would go on to become the loving mother to Bruce, Dana, and Scot. While raising her family she continued to work as an OB nurse, and in utilization management, throughout California, until she retired in 1997. Throughout her retirement she remained an active member of Sacramento Republican Women Federation and Mercy San Juan's Pulmo Pals. She was known for her sharp sense of humor, constantly planning luncheons and events, and her legendary potato salad. 

She leaves to mourn her loved daughter Dana (Cleveland), son Scot (Lindsay), daughter-in-law Nora, grandchildren Ryan, Joshua, Gavin, Aidan, Jenae, her niece Laurie, and nephews Dan and David.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William, and her son Bruce.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 1:00pm at Fair Oaks Cemetery District, 7780 Olive Street, Fair Oaks, CA.
