Skip Hart

Skip passed away peacefully at home on Monday July 5th, 2021. He drove truck for 33 years and retired from Cascade Rock, Inc. He loved to tinker in his garage, listening to 70s rock n roll, and joke around with his wife, Kathy. Skip was also an avid bowler – he was on the River City Gamblers bowling league for over 10 years. He enjoyed all things racing - from RC cars to NASCAR. He shared his love of racing with the Compton side of the family and his son, Phillip. He enjoyed attending the annual Hart Family Reunion and catching up with all his aunts, uncles and cousins. He also loved to camp in Hope Valley and fish along the Carson River with his family and friends. Skip was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother who brought adventure, patience and an upbeat outlook to his everyday life. 

Skip is survived by his loving wife Kathy Hart, his son Phillip (Brianne) Sparks, his parents Stan and Delight Hart, his siblings Jim Hart, Mary (Kristina) Hart, and Allen Hart. He is also survived by his father-in-law Bill Coles, his sisters-in-law Tamara (Brad) Wolf, Barbie (Charles) Xeller, nieces Alexzondrea Adorno, Sarah Wolf, Francesa Adorno, goddaughter Annalise Wolf, along with his great niece Ophelia Mills. He was predeceased by his infant brothers Brian and David Hart and mother-in-law Susan Coles. 

The family gives sincere thanks to the Bristol Hospice team – Meg, his chaplain, Michelle, his social worker and Kenny, his nurse. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service which will be held 10:00 am July 31, 2021 @ Price Funeral Chapel.
