Stanley Zielinski Obituary

 Stanley “Stan” John Zielinski was born January 18, 1942, in Buffalo, New York where he spent his formative years.  Stan served his country in the United States Marines from 1961 to 1965.  He gave outstanding military service during the Cuban Crisis and was awarded the following honors: the Cuban Expeditionary Medal, the Rifle M-14 Sharpshooter Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Stan united in marriage to his beloved Patricia “Momma” October 2, 1984, resided in Orangevale, CA, and became a parent to three daughters of his heart Tamara, Rhonda, and Teri.

Among his talents, Stan was a great auto mechanic for over 43 years.  He and Patricia loved camping with family, traveling across the United States visiting relatives, and backyard barbeques by the pool.  Stan loved deer hunting, and playing horseshoes, softball, and volleyball.  Other interests included playing Pinochle at the Citrus Heights Senior Center.  Stan enjoyed WINNING other card games such as Low-Ball, Canasta, Nickel Knocker and Spades with his family and friends.  He was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan.

Stan cherished his beloved wife for 33 years Patricia of Orangevale, CA;  daughters Tamara Rice (Bradd) of Fort Gibson, OK, Rhonda Mosack (Troy) of Diamond Springs, CA, and Teri Hartley of Orangevale, CA; nine siblings all residents of New York and Canada Thomas (Barb), Ronald, Josephine (Mervin), Jeanette, Kathy, David, Susie (Rick), Robert, and April Tina (Maurice); ten grandchildren Jessica Black (Danny), Brandon Satterfield (Brittany), Matthew Rice, Nichole Barker (Jeremy), Darren Satterfield, Zachary Rice, Brittany Hartley, Brianna Hartley, Christina Mosack, Tanner John Vidal; six great grandchildren Kaylee and Connor Black, Madison, Bayleigh, and Gunner Brown, Warren Stanley Barker all of whom affectionately referred to him as GG Papa; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and many loved ones and friends. Stan and Pat also shared their love and served as foster parents for 28 years.  

Friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 3:00-6:00PM and are invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 1:00PM all at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA, 916-725-2109. The interment will be held at on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 12:30PM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery (5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA).
