Steve Crossman Obituary

“Papa” Steve passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023. He was married to “Nanny” Judith Crossman for 38 years before she passed away in 2003. Born August 4th, 1939, in Richmond, CA, he grew up playing all the sports he loved but excelled in both track and football. Even as a very young man he always worked hard to provide for others. He worked odd jobs to help his single mom and little sister however he could while he was attending school and playing sports. He met “his love” Judith Castellotti in 1963 and they were married on May 16th, 1965. After they moved from the Bay area to Sacramento, Steve partnered with Bill Foster and they became Distributors for Crystal Milk & Dairy. Their business grew successfully for over 40 years before retiring in 2008. Steven lived in the Citrus Heights area for 44 years. Papa Steve is survived by his children and their spouses- Frank & Sue Crossman & Julie (Crossman) & Cole Beller, 5 Grandchildren – Cody & Shane Beller, Breanna (Beller) & Greg Ellsworth, Sam & Abby Crossman and 1 Great Grandson, Evan Ellsworth. Steven was preceded in heaven by his beloved wife, Judith Crossman, mother, Blanche Crossman and sister, Patricia (Patti) Sechrest.

Our Dad and Papa loved his family with his whole heart and was truly one of the most kind hearted and loving men this world has ever known. He will be forever loved and missed.

*A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at his Citrus Heights home on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:30pm. Please contact his children for more information.
