Thomas Donald Robertson Obituary

Tom loved writing short stories (his books), his cats, his friends, and family. He also loved raising champion Alaskan malamutes, dog shows and traveling. Born in Oakland California on May 17,1937  to parents, Donald  and Katherine Robertson, he passed July 8 2023 in Roseville California. Survived by his younger sister, Pat, his niece Debbie, and his cousins Sherry and Shelli, who over the years were so very helpful to Tom. Tom had married three time. His first was Mary with whom he traveled to New York and back to San Francisco. His second was Paulette whom he traveled to Alaska and back, bringing home, Tok, the first of the long family of prize winning show dogs and his third was Barbara, the love of his life. Along with Barbara came three grown kids, Jerry, Bruce and Cindy. Followed by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandkids. All of whom were so loved by Tom. Along the years Tom made many great friends. One in particular was Dick Jackman, who along with his church, was so much help to Tom in his later years. Tom had great careers including being a short-story author, a bartender, and a substance abuse counselor for 30 years. Tom was very proud of being a Marine and wanted to be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Dixon California with no funeral services.
