Timothy Riolo Obituary

Timothy George Riolo, born April 19, 1944, passed away in the early morning of February 10, 2024. A native of Roseville, CA, he was the oldest son of Steve Riolo and Virginia Hardy. He proudly maintained the legacy of the Riolo Family farmers and ranchers. Tim graduated from Roseville High School in 1962, where he boxed and played football on both offensive and defensive teams. He often reminded us that he “ran the 100 yard dash in 10.6 seconds in full pads.” As a star athlete, total hunk of a man, fantastic dancer, and one of the funniest and wittiest men to ever walk the earth, he naturally married the prettiest cowgirl in school, Miss Roseville Centennial, Carolyn Whitehead. Together they raised their three daughters, Gina Marie, Anna Marie and Dona Louise as the fourth generation on the family land in West Roseville. He named it Bar TR Ranch. They were married nearly 54 years when he lost the love of his life in June of 2020.

Tim’s professional career began at Teichert Construction in 1964 from which he retired after 35 years. He was a highly respected heavy equipment foreman who was instrumental in much of the development of the ground in Roseville and Sacramento. Some of his biggest jobs at Teichert include Del Webb Roseville and the Galleria Mall, though those closest to his heart were the custom homes he built under his private company Tim Riolo Development.

Tim is survived by his sister Stephanie, daughters Gina, Anna and Dona, grandchildren, Timothy, Addie, Loren, Charlee, Giana, Delaney and Brody. He was a hilarious and animated man, however he was the hardest working and most selfless man we will ever know. His family was always his first and foremost concern. He taught us to drive, hunt and fish, to laugh and love, and how to live good honest lives.

They simply don’t make men like Timothy George Riolo anymore and as such we have lost a pure treasure here on earth. Our peace lies in that he is in a fishing boat with our mother, eating a meatball sandwich on a homemade roll, made by his mother, and telling jokes and belly laughing with his brother and best friend, Donald Ralph Riolo.

Tim will be laid to rest in Rocklin Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at the Roseville Elks Lodge, 3000 Brady Lane, Roseville, CA 95747, on May 25th at 3pm. All that knew him are welcome to join us for a night of dinner, music and memories.

Tim was a Husband, Father, Noni, Brother, Cousin, Uncle and Friend worth celebrating.
