Vito Charles Russo, “Vic”, 77 of Fair Oaks California passed away on October 15th 2020 in his home unexpectedly.
He was born in Sacramento, California on January 28th 1943, son of the late Charles and Vita Russo. He is survived by his brother Charles S. Russo and his two daughters, Stephanie Schmidt and Samantha Hamman. He is also survived by his four grandchildren; Nichole Dias, Kiley Schmidt, Anthony Hamman and Emily Hamman, as well as a niece and two nephews.
Vito graduated from American River College with an AA degree in Industry and Business management. He worked at McClellan AFB for 29 years, retiring in 1999. While at McClellan AFB he worked as an Aircraft Electrician, Engineer Planner, and a Building Manager.
Vito was very involved in his church; he felt a calling to be a Literature Evangelist for the Seventh Day Adventist church for 6 years. After his retirement he continued helping in his church by being a deacon at the Roseville Seventh Day Adventist church and working in the food bank and clothes closet at Orangevale Seventh Day Adventist church.
Vito was known for selflessly helping others, working in his garden and caring for his many cats. He enjoyed spending time with friends, going on walks, and being involved in his many social groups. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
