William (Bill) Holcomb Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Holcomb. Bill died unexpectedly on January 28, 2025, at the age of 60.

Bill was born on December 28, 1964, at Schilling Air Force Base in Salina, Kansas, to parents Marilyn and Darrell Holcomb. A long-time resident of Rancho Cordova, Bill graduated from Cordova High School in 1983 and served in the Air Force Reserves at Travis Air Force Base from 1984 to 1989. Bill had some interesting jobs early on such as cabinet making and natural gas drilling, but he then found his dream job at Blue Collar Supply in Sacramento, where he worked for 35 years. His love for all things metal meant that he enjoyed his job every day. When Blue Collar Supply closed their doors, Bill then went to work for Big R Metals in Sacramento where he thrived, again, loving every minute he was there.

Bill was a dedicated and devoted father to his son, Brian, and was known for his generosity, especially when it came to snacks. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, coworkers and customers.

Bill is survived by his long-time partner, Teresa Huckabay; his son, Brian; his mother, Marilyn; his brother, Bob; his niece, Christina and his nephew, Tommy. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Darrell, and his sister, Brenda.

A memorial for Bill will be held April 5, 2025, at the Mobil Country Club, 2473 Sunrise Blvd, Rancho Cordova at 2:00 p.m.
