Zaida Esther Ackerson, 86, of Lincoln, CA, passed away on August 18, 2023. She was born on January 5, 1937, in Puerto Rico, to the late Fuentes family. Zaida was a devoted wife and mother, raising two sons, David and Mark, and a daughter, Juanice. She was actively involved in her children's lives, volunteering at their school and working in the lunchroom. Zaida also dedicated her time to the church, assisting with funerals, washing and ironing the priests' robes, and cleaning the church. She was a woman of strong faith and attended years of Bible study at St. Mel Catholic Church, where she worshipped. Zaida is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Ackerson. She is survived by her children, David, Mark, and Juanice, who will cherish her memory.

A viewing will be held at St. Mel Catholic Church on August 30, 2023, at 10:00 am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 am and a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Zaida's name to St. Mel Catholic Church, as a tribute to her dedication and love for her faith.
